Are You Nagging Men Right Out of Your Life? {Top 10 Ways to Nag-Proof Your Relationship}
This morning, I got up and thought deeply about the women I coach and mentor to attract high-quality men naturally and magnetically…and KEEP them.
Key word here ‘Keep’. There are quite a few women who can attract them, but keeping them is a whole different story and challenge!
So I decided to ‘stray’ a bit from the topic of attraction. Actually, it’s not straying… A main part of attraction and the reason a quality man stays with you is how you make him feel. Unfortunately, so many women in business don’t know how to make a man feel good and nag men right out of their lives.
Why? We are used to giving the orders and getting what they want at lightening speed. Inefficiency is not tolerated. Stated plainly (and harshly) – we tend to be control freaks. Well, you can’t run your love life like you run your business.
I’m not saying you can’t voice displeasure or opinions that aren’t positive. It’s HOW you do it that draws him in or repels him.
Nagging reminds him of his elementary school teacher – ruler waving an all…or his mom telling him to clean up his room when he was 14. Ugh! Not the best feeling (especially after he comes home after his daily ‘business battles’). Here’s the deal, you’re making him feel like a nervous little boy. That will not bring you closer together.
Just to refresh your memory on what being a nag (or nagging) means here’s how www.dictionary.reference.com defines it:
nag
1.to annoy by persistent faultfinding, complaints, or demands.2.to keep in a state of troubled awareness or anxiety, as a recurrent pain or problem: She had certain misgivings that nagged her.
–verb (used without object)3.to find fault or complain in an irritating, wearisome, or relentless manner (often fol. by at ): If they start nagging at each other, I’m going home.4. to cause pain, discomfort, distress, depression, etc. (often fol. by at ): This headache has been nagging at me all day.
–noun5. Also, nagger. a person who nags, esp. habitually.
6. an act or instance of nagging.
One of the secrets to creating irresistible attraction and make him NEVER want to leave you is being “nag-free”. He’s met enough nagging women in his life before he met you, so you’ll be a fresh spring breeze to him (instead of a frigid winter like the other women).
You’ve heard the saying:
“You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.”
Well, I never really liked that saying. I prefer bees to flies. We’re the Queen Bees and men are the drones… Just kidding! Anyway, as the saying teaches, we respond better to positivity, than negativity.
This is HUGE when it comes to keeping a man. My man tells me that he like how ‘easy-going and non-combative’ I am. I am not saying this to brag, I just want you to have the most passionate, loving relationship you’ve EVER had in your life.
However, this depends mainly on you. Take responsibility for your words, tone and actions. You can blame men for ‘this and that’ all you want, but at the end of the day, you will either:
- Remain alone and blame everything on men not ‘understanding’ you (when you could have taken charge of your communication skills).
- Be with someone who is a push-over and a ‘yes man’. Yuck! You’re a smart, strong and beautiful woman; therefore, you’d tire of a man like that.
But WORST of all, you could…
- End up with a man who has become ‘immune’ to you, tolerates you and tunes you out.
You ain’t getting any goddess treatment in any of these scenarios! So here are the Top 10 Ways to Nag-Proof Your Communication and Relationship with men. Try these and they will LOVE you for it.

Today I went to lunch with the CEO of a speed dating company. He brought up the fact that some people hate dating, in fact they see it as a chore due to the quality of people they attract, the game-playing and the lies.
